Helpful Shortcut to Kissimmee & Disney

For a quicker route to Kissimmee and Disney World:

1.Leave the villa and turn left onto the main road.
2.Continue to the first set of traffic lights.
3.Turn right at the junction where CVS Pharmacy is located.
4.Follow this road directly to US 192 in Kissimmee.

Along US 192 you will find a wide selection of:

  • Restaurants
  • Bars
  • Shops
  • Supermarkets
  • Entertainment venues


To reach Disney World, turn right onto US 192 and take the second right-hand junction, clearly signposted for Disney World.

To help ensure the safety and security of our guests, The Barley Villa is equipped with:


Monitored Alarm System

  • Professionally monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • We recommend activating the alarm whenever the villa is unoccupied
  • An "Arm Stay" feature allows the alarm to be set while remaining inside the property


Pool Door Alarms

  • Safety alarms are fitted to both doors leading to the pool area
  • These alarms are provided for the protection of guests, particularly children
  • We kindly ask that they are not disconnected or disabled


Safety Deposit Box

  • A secure in-home safe is provided for the storage of passports, travel documents, valuables and personal items


CCTV Protection

For the security of guests and the property, CCTV cameras monitor:

  • The front entrance
  • The garage entrance
  • Pool equipment area


There are no cameras inside the villa or overlooking private guest areas such as the pool deck or living accommodation.

This ensures that guests can enjoy complete privacy whilst benefiting from additional external security measures.

Orlando is generally considered a safe tourist destination and local law enforcement works proactively to protect residents and visitors. However, as with any major tourist area, sensible precautions should always be taken.

Gated vs Non-Gated Communities

Many visitors believe a gated community automatically offers greater security. In reality, security depends on a range of factors rather than whether a community is gated.

Access codes are often shared with service providers, deliveries and contractors, and many gated communities do not have staffed gatehouses operating 24 hours a day.

Ultimately, choosing between a gated and non-gated community is a matter of personal preference.
